About Us

The St Andrew’s College Centre for Education was formed with the vision of facilitating life-changing educational experiences. All of our courses have four things in common. First, they focus on cultivating the soft skills students need to thrive in their professional and personal lives. Second, they focus on student experience as much as academic content. Third, they are cross-disciplinary. And finally, they have a strong practical component, enabling students to apply knowledge to real-world projects. We are working tirelessly to expand our teaching capacity so that more students can experience the Andrew’s difference.

In 1867, St Andrew’s College was founded to enable students of The University of Sydney, which had been created 15 years earlier, to enjoy an immersive residential tertiary education.

The Council of St Andrew’s College considered the possibility of offering degrees within St Andrew’s College. The concept arose in the context of declining student satisfaction with major universities around the world.

St Andrew’s College launched its first pilot program (“Certificate of Cross-Disciplinary Problem Solving”) in summer 2021. Contributors to the pilot program included Charlie Taylor (McKinsey & Co), Ian Jackman SC (Barrister-at-Law), Eleanor Gammell (Small Giants), Wayne Erickson (St Andrew’s College), Sasha Kovic (Roberts Co), Professor Luke Russell (The University of Sydney), Trent van Veen (EY), Dr Kate Winchester (Notre Dame University), Josh Dowse (Clarity Partners), Craig Blair (AirTree), Robert McLean (McKinsey & Co), and others.

Due to high demand, the course was re-run in the winter vacation.

St Andrew’s College formally launched its Centre for Education.

The college also expanded its portfolio of courses with the introduction of the Certificate of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
